The main reason Ho is not counted among developed languages is that it lacks modern vocabulary and words that express complex ideas. It is true that present Ho lexicon is very limited. There are few words to express abstract ideas and concepts. Can we overcome this? One of the ways to overcome this difficulty is pretty simple, borrow words from other languages, this is in fact already happening in rapid pace these days, especially after the advent of modern information technology. But we must ask an important question here; does the language itself have the ability to form new words? In this article I will be going through this issue, examining the nature of Ho language.
